Therefore, it didn't take much to say YAY to participating in the joint Acne and Browns Postcard project that presents little city recommendations from bloggers accompanied by pretty pics of us wearing the new Acne pre-fall collection.  I naturally did London, along with Hanneli for New York, Elin Kling for Stockholm and Romy Frydman for Sydney.  I fuffed up the pretty picture bit namely because I cheated and didn't take my pictures in London.  Pressed for time, I had to bundle the clothes to Stockholm and do it there.  Oh well... it err... makes sense... you know, Acne's based in Stockholm and all...

It's Cold Outside

All the external signs are there.  The Eurostar has been stuck for 16 hours plus in the Channel tunnel.  Easyjet flights have been grounded.  Motorways are chocker-block.  Roads are slippy.  Trains are delayed.  My cheeks are threatening to go all floopy in the cold.  Yes, the big freeze has forced me to do nothing but revel in central heating, endless cups of tea, needlessly fiddle about with home Chrimbo decorations and revel in my assortment of sofa softies (Emma Cook cushion, APC Madras patchwork quilt and Gap knitted slippers - thanks EJ!).  Not that err... Eurostar, Easyjet or motorways are anything to do with me but that's not the point!  It's all going to malfunctioning pot out there and I'm staying put.  End of.

I've once again left my Christmast shopping to the last weekend...), the shops were also telling me that I should be staying put at home.  In Whistles, where I was supposed to be shopping for others, my eyes kept darting towards multiple pieces of grey jersey goodness.  Skirt, trousers, sweatshirts (long and short)... they well and truly have the GJ stuff totally covered (with a lot of it on sale too right now).  So along with gifts for other people, I also had to gift myself the zipper sweatshirt and skirt to add to the GJ kitty.  I'm happy to be a sad home wallflower if I'm constantly blending myself into a Muji sheeted background with the central heating on.

I seem to not be able to accept the fact that my holiday in Hong Kong has ended and like some crazy woman, I'm STILL reading reviews of restaurants, seeking out shops openings and happily reveling in all of it, despite the fact that it's been more than a fortnight since I got back.  The only thing post-Hong Kong related that isn't entirely deranged is looking into the designers I discovered.  Technically, Plotz was on my hit list before the trip but of course seeing the clothes in their natural habitat is bound to prompt extra Googling/emailing.  I bugged designer Sing Chin Lo for Plotz's S/S 10 lookbook as I was intrigued by the fact she showed the collection at the Who's Next tradeshow in Paris.  The bugging may have been the deranged post-holiday-blues syndrome striking again.  I'm hoping Christmas will knock the blues out silly with its impending merriment, roast potatoes, turkey, cake atc etc...
