"Next 2 You" collaborators Chris Brown and Justin Bieber both took the stage at Nokia Theater on November 20 for 2011 American Music Awards, but they performed separately. Breezy was introduced by rapper 50 Cent, while Bieber was invited to take the mic by his homie Sean Kingston.

Breezy started his performance by singing ballad track "All Back" before turning up the beat in club-ready song "Say It With Me". The R&B singer simply stood in the center stage when singing the latter song, but he busted a move with some backing dancers in a futuristic set when delivering the former song.

As for Bieber, he embraced the Christmas spirit early by catering audience with "Mistletoe". Wearing white outfit, the Canadian singing sensation brightened the dimmed-lit stage with some red and green lights. Once he's done, The Band Perry took over the stage by singing their hit single "If I Die Young".

Unfortunately, none of those three stars won an award that night. Breezy lost Favorite Soul/R&B Album to Rihanna, and Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist to Usher. Meanwhile, Bieber was blocked from winning Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist by Bruno Mars. It's his only chance to get a prize this year.

As for the Band Perry, Kimberly Perry and her brothers had to give up their dream to win New Artist of the Year, Favorite Country Band/Duo/Group, and Favorite Country Album. The trio lost those nods to Hot Chelle Rae, Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift respectively.
